Clay Weemhoff

Clay grew up in a small town in rural North Carolina
where he spent his early years outdoors with his local Boy Scouts of America, troop 42 of Badin. His mother who recently retired from the position of county senior center district supervisor, instilled in him a passion for working with the senior community at an early age. He attended college at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, graduating with a BA in Anthropology and a concentration in Gerontology. He has been in the insurance sector since 2015, where he has worked with some of the top rated providers in life, health, annuity, and Medicare supplement programs. He has enjoyed protecting the lives of many seniors and their family members since then.

 

Clay is married to his wife Shea and they have two
children, Pressley and Merritt. They live in Locust, NC. He enjoys geocaching, smoking ribs, Carolina Panthers football, and time outdoors with the family. He is a member of StoneBridge Church Community in Charlotte where he is a member of LifeBridge ProLife advocacy group and works closely with local PRC’s in mentoring expectant fathers to be.

Brad Matthews

Brad comes to the insurance world from an athletic background. The process of becoming a professional athlete taught him the discipline and work ethic it takes to be successful. After playing professional baseball Brad stepped into coaching and has coached every level from youth sports to AAA for the Toronto Blue Jays.

Wanting to spend more time with his family, Brad stepped into insurance. Taking the same mentality and applying it to sales, Brad quickly became a top producer. After years of learning the Final Expense business and coaching other agents, Brad has now taken the lead role at LifeCross Insurance Group.

Along with producing himself and coaching other agents, Brad spends his time his wife and 2 boys. He is also the leader of the Men's Ministry at his church in Locust, NC.

"My goal is to show other agents how to be successful in this industry. Success can be measured in a variety of ways and it is our job as leaders to identify what that means to each producer we hire. We want to help them achieve personal records in sales and help them grow their own agency." - Brad Matthews

Ben has been in the strategic retirement income planning business since 2015, prior to that he was heavily involved in commercial real estate valuation for 8 years forecasting income and expenses for commercial properties such as large retail shopping centers. During his time in the planning business, Ben has worked as the leading representative in the Carolinas with a large and nationally known retirement income planning firm, as well as serve as the lead expert on retirement strategies for hundreds of agents in the Southeast. Ben has successfully protected tens of millions in assets and has also helped educate agents and clients alike in retirement income planning using industry leading products and proprietary strategies.

Rodrigo and Ben saw an opportunity to be able to utilize the innovation, marketing strength and industry knowledge of Universal Producers Group in conjunction with the success, work ethic, honesty, and knowledge of Brad and Clay to form LifeCross Insurance Group.

Ben is married to his wife Whitney and they have two daughters, Greer and Graylynn and a lab named Beau. They live in North Myrtle Beach, SC. He enjoys being on the water boating and fishing, golf cart rides, watching college basketball, hiking in the mountains, coaching his daughters soccer team, and just spending time with his family.

Ben believes in putting the client’s needs first and lives by “If you take care of the client, the rest will take care of itself.”

With a background in auto sales, Rodrigo's previous profession shaped his work ethic and discipline, teaching him the importance of intentional communication. He honed his skills in monitoring his "word tracks," ensuring that every word he spoke was purposeful and tailored to each moment.

Notably, Rodrigo quickly rose to prominence at JD Mehlberg and was promoted to Sales Manager due to his exceptional competence and results. His high level of achievement in the auto sales industry reflects his ability to excel in a competitive environment.

Motivated by the desire to leverage his finely-tuned sales skills, Rodrigo made the transition into the insurance industry, focusing on the insurance and annuities niche. His previous experience in crunching numbers and making them meaningful in the auto industry has become a significant advantage in case design for his clients.

With over 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, Rodrigo has not only excelled in his own production but also assumed leadership roles. As the former Sales Manager for JD Mehlberg, he coached and mentored other agents, guiding them towards success.
